Stage 3 · Production
Built for robots, not data centres
Insaion keeps fleet data flowing over weak cellular, holds it through dropouts and survives power cuts. See every robot live. Get the full story when one fails.
Built for: Robotics operations, fleet and reliability teams
Where data-centre tools break
“It works in the office. On site it's on a 4G dongle.”
Low bandwidth, flaky cellular
Weak LTE, dead zones, congested Wi-Fi. Data-centre tools just drop the data.
“Someone pulled the plug and the bag was corrupt.”
Power cuts and hard resets
A recording that needs a clean close is gone the moment the battery dies.
“Robot 14 stopped. That's all we know.”
Alerts without context
No history, no related signals, no recording. A ten-minute fix becomes a day.
Built for the field first
Bad networks and power cuts first. Dashboards on top.
Made for low bandwidth
Batched and compressed on the robot. A live fleet view, even over weak 4G.
Rides out dropouts
Data stays safe on the robot and catches up, in order, when the link returns.
Survives power cuts
A sudden power loss costs a moment of data, never the whole file.
Disk space under control
Set a disk budget. The agent stays inside it, oldest data out first. Recordings always keep their space.
Zero-touch provisioning
Bake an enrollment key into your image. A hundred new robots take the same work as one.
From alarm to root cause
Alarms to email, Slack, Teams or Telegram. Copilot triages, then fetches and analyzes the MCAP window once you approve.
Copilot on Starter and above
From alarm to root cause
- 1
An alarm fires
On-call hears about it as soon as the data arrives, even data spooled during a dropout.
- 2
See the context
Every topic, host metric and OpenTelemetry signal on one time axis, at the moment it happened.
- 3
Ask Copilot
Related signals and a likely cause. Approve the MCAP pull and Copilot analyzes the recording too.
- 4
Replay and fix
Replay it in the browser next to the telemetry, or download it.
The fleet you validate is the fleet you ship.
Frequently asked questions
How do you monitor robots on a low-bandwidth or cellular connection?
Insaion's agent compresses telemetry before sending it, so robots stay visible on slow or congested links. When the connection drops, it stores the data on the robot and sends it in order once the link is back, and it keeps recording the whole time.
What happens to robot data during a network outage?
Nothing stops. The Insaion agent keeps recording on the robot and stores telemetry locally until the connection returns, then sends it in order. During very long outages it thins out the backlog so the robot's disk never fills up.
Does the Insaion agent survive power cuts?
Yes. The agent writes recordings in small pieces and checks them when the robot boots again, so a sudden power loss costs a moment of data instead of the whole recording, and you never end up with a corrupt file to open.
How does Insaion monitor a ROS 2 fleet?
An agent on each robot discovers the ROS 2 topics being published and streams them with host metrics to live dashboards, with no SDK or code changes. It supports ROS 2 Humble, Jazzy, Kilted, Rolling and Lyrical as a systemd service or an official Docker image.
How do you set up monitoring on hundreds of robots?
Include an Insaion enrollment key in the robot's image. Each new robot registers itself on first boot and gets your organization's default monitoring template, which updates automatically when you change the template.
What does it cost to monitor a fleet of 50 robots?
Devices are unlimited on every Insaion plan, so 50 robots cost the same as one. Plans are based on how much data you send and store, and there's a free plan to start with. See plans and pricing
